I have been working on leaves for awhile now and with Cherryl's help and her DVD on leaves, it's beginning to take shape - and so I would like to share the latest study piece. I first began with a small plate that I had fired with pink glaze. Sketching the stem and then the grouping of leaves: I then loaded my brush with a mix of black green and deep blue green being careful to keep the color a dark shade. Painting close to the stem and inbetween my sketching of my main leaves: I then used chartruese to pull out my paint and form the shadow leaves. I shaped up my shadow leaves a bit and created a few wipe outs. Then went to work on my main leaves. I think these are the best I've painted so far and so I'm excited and sharing I will continue to improve, I know. Roses and leaves are something I have been working on for some time and I love seeing improvement! *happy dance* >^..^<
