This is my first holiday season to actually paint Christmas ornaments and such and I'm having a lot of fun! Here is the front and back of a holiday bell that I started today and just had to share! Colors used: Blood Red for candles with Pecan for wicks and Mixing Yellow for flames, leaves are Chartruese, Spearmint and Black Green. With some addition of a few berries using Blood Red with just a bit of Ruby, my bell is now ready for the kiln - First Fire.

I added some greenery and a few more berries as well as some springs of something blue. I touched up my candle flames with just a bit of Yellow Red. Here are the photos for my second fire:

This week I had some help with enamels...and decided to be brave and add a little enameling to my Holiday Bell. You can see from the photo that the berries have a dot of enamel on each. I also added a little dot design to the very top of the bell that doesn't show well in the photo. The white around the top of the candles that appears to drip down the side of the candle is also enameling. I added just a bit of Pat's Fools Gold to some of the greenery and to the candle flame.
